Donna Dangott’s photographic works represent her series Hidden In Plain View and In the Land of Dreams which utilize memories and dreams as significant factor in her creative process. Though there are some similarities in my approach across different bodies of work, each series works can easily stand on their own.
Though these works are not self-portraits, Dangott brings her personal story to the forefront while connecting with the viewer. At the same time as revealing a dark underlayer, she connects the viewer to nature for comfort and healing in the familiar.
