“My photography seeks to capture the meaning of the Latin phrase, “Inveniam Viam Aut Faciam - I shall find a way or make one." I am drawn to remote and barren locations containing waterscapes, desert, or mountains which provide me with a sense of calm. It is in these moments that I feel connected to the land and hope to pass this connection on to the viewer. My goal is always to simplify life; to take complicated and reduce it to its simplest form. To achieve this, I must stop to really see these complex environments and apply photographic techniques which will capture my vision and feelings.” - Greg Piazza

Greg’s approach to photography does not involve contemplating a project, then seeking images which fit the concept.  He approaches each location with an open mind as to what he will find and what will inspire him to make a picture.  As he review images over time, he begins to construct a project; reexamining each photograph and what story it is telling as a sense of self-reflection.  Only when Greg sees commonality, he will begin to build a project around them.
